| Remaps can be done on: * all newage imprezas/foresters 2001 - 2010 * 92-96 classics using the ESL live mapping board. * Simtek (1992 - 2005) * Solaris / Syvecs Launch Control (LC) and Flat Throttle Shifting (FTS) can be added FOC on a full remap - please let me know beforehand if you are wanting these. (FTS is only available on 06/07 cars). Full custom remap of the original ecu costs £350 for newage cars Map changes generally between £100 & £150 but pm me or call me to clarify what mods have been done. - ESL board supply, fit and map £550 (92 - 96 imprezas) - Simtek supply, install and map prices from £995 (depending on year) - please pm for exact price for your application - Syvecs/Solaris supply, install and map - from £1600 supplied, fitted and mapped. Generally I travel to you and map on the road but can equally map on the dyno if your car is not road legal or if you prefer. I will be putting together an introductory offer for DSOC members on all of the above for my first official dates down on the south coast... watch this space |

| Hi Duncan, i have recently had a custom map and turbo upgrade at enginetuner. The car is a 2001 wrx bug. Mods:
full decat hks panel filter 550 pinks ihi vf23
Martyn used the open source software and got 301bhp. However i am wanting to get closer to 330-350 and after reading your post re fmic's am a little unsure where to go from here. I was thinking of hks induction, fmic and a 20g td05 followed by a map tweak. What would you advise? |

I was thinking of hks induction, fmic and a 20g td05 followed by a map tweak. What would you advise? The standard wrx tmic is probably the whole reason why it didnt make the power it should. Moving to an STi tmic would release the extra 20-30bhp (assuming on vpower) that it should be giving you. FMIC is not a bad move but it isnt really needed and is a lot of expense and effort. 20G would be pretty laggy on a 2.0 wrx without the VVT heads and in my view you would regret that move as it would be a slower car in the real world (especially if you do turn the boost down) - a good responsive VF43 would be my recommendation. Recently mapped one on a 2.0 wrx and it made 375bhp. Gets into gearbox breaking territory though but it is not a set limit for the gearbox and depends on how harsh you are with them. |

| Cool - sorry had missed these comments on here.
Will arrange a couple of visits in january for road mapping -
These being:
4th / 5th (if there are enough numbers interested for then)
22nd / 23rd January
The New Year offer deal... valid during January 2011 only... 8)
Newages Cars Normally I charge £350 for a full remap on a newage subaru but as an intro offer I will do this for £250 for DSOC members.
Simtek Offers: (all supplied, fitted and mapped) for DSOC members.
92-96 £950 97-98 £950 99/00 £1050
All prices are 'price you pay' - no hidden extras etc.
Further tweaks beyond this will be at my normal rates as above.
Mapping will be done on the road for these days with you driving while I map and will be measuring all fueling, detonation and engine parameters to ensure the safest possible gains in performance.
4/5 1. 2. 3. 4.
22/23 1. 2. 3. 4.

I have to be honest and say that I cannot recall having seen the rom for this car but I would happily see whether I can communicate with the ecu for you when i am down to see whether possible. |

| Hi Duncan, purchased an STI top mount ( i will give you a bell Wayneeee for fitment). Is there anything else you can think of that will help on the day??? new plugs etc so i can get the most from it???
Also, Duncan has been a good stick re advice on DSOC is anyone else up for a tune up??? Wayne? Ollie? Myles, you would see a big improvement and Duncan seems to be the only open source mapper that will come to you. The other option is Enginetuner in Plymouth the journey is not nice and costs a £80 in fuel. |

I'm not strictly in the area but in Oxford. Let me speak to the guy who is fitting my bits, I can find out when he is back. I can go from there! Cheers guys,

Aside from that, just need it with some of your favourite petrol in (vpower hopefully) and we are good to go. |
