hey guys im new to this forum just wondering if you could give me any info on the 04 sti wr1 i work at a car auction and we just got one in its only got a £2,700 reserve im thinking of putting a bid on does anyone know what to look out for on them? its done 125,000 miles 2 owners and 9 stamps in the book its still got the tax disc holder with the build number on too took it for a quick drive and nothing happens until 3,500 rpm then omg it flys lol any info on these cars would be great thanks

Hello and welcome.

Normally I would say they are over-priced for what they are, and are a love / hate colour. If you can pick it up cheap then may be worth a punt. I would be slightly put off by the mileage, but if it has a decent service history and has done mainly motorway miles then it won't have been too thrashed and you take your chances like every 2nd hand car. I heard of engines letting go at 30,000 miles and them still going strong at 250,000 miles.
