Kev (RED HOT) has kindly been working on a new forum header design because i thought the old one looked a bit boring, as you can see ive already installed it but we are looking for some feedback....What do you guys think...........anything need changing? adding? etc etc

I think the white car with the lights looks chavvy!! The like the rest of it tho!

I like the badge in the Dorset outline.

Only thing I've found a pain is after you have made a post you now can't get back on to the main page without scrolling back to the top and hitting the 'Forum' tab. There used to be 'Dorset Subaru' lit up in Blue at the bottom you could hit and jump straight back to the main forum page. For example from this post I can only get back to the 'News' and 'Announcements' sections using the blue highlighted words at both the top and the bottom. Maybe I haven't explained it very well but do people actually know what I mean??

Edit: It has 'permissions of this forum' written above it.

Not sure what you mean Tim. I either click on the "new posts" tab or the "Forum" tab to negociate the forum.

That was the initial design that I did yesterday, it needed some changes such as font and positioning etc as well as the white Bugeye in the centre being removed; the bug was deemed too heavy and slowed the forum down

I know what you mean, I find it annoying to.

@Jay it is where it says what board you are in, for example General Technical then it'll say Engine for example. Before the general technical there used to be a button that took you back to the whole forum not just the General Technical section for example

Cant say I remember there being a 'Forum' button near the bottom.

I can't remember whether it said 'Forum' or 'DSOC' but it was 100% there and I used it all the time. Its worse when I use the site on my phone as that is a twat to scroll back to the top without tapping on something else with my sausage fingers!!

It may have been replaced on the standard phpbb template with the introduction of this new 'Similar Topics' functionality that's been added.

Right, below should be (if I got it right) a screenshot, with the big red arrow pointing to where something used to be but isn't now!! This is what I used to jump around the forum rather than having to scroll to the top of the page all the time.

Seems to have sped the forum up?

You got it right Neglected Scooby, it was there and at the top where it is now, just missing the DSOC bit :(

Yep was there and really hard to use without it,esp on your phone
